Welcome to the home page for the Gilbert County Island Fire District! The District was formed in January 2008 to arrange for fire protection services for the residents of county islands within the Town of Gilbert municipal planning area. Currently, the Town of Gilbert Fire Department is our fire services provider.

Call For Election

Pursuant to ARS §16-227 the Gilbert County Island Fire District (GCIFD) hereby provides notice of a call for election. The purpose of the election is to elect two (2) board members to the GCIFD governing board on November 2, 2010. The last date to file nominating petitions for the position of GCIFD governing board member is August 4, 2010 at the Maricopa County Elections Department. The last day to register to vote in the election is October 4, 2010.
